STEP 1.) Click
on the Start Menu and move the mouse over top of Settings to open the sub-menu
and then click on Control Panel.

STEP 2.) In
the Control Panel, locate and Double-Click on Dial-Up Networking.

STEP 3.) Double-click
on Make New Connection.
|
STEP 4.) Enter
Value Connect for the name of the computer you are dialing, then Click on Next.

STEP 5.) Enter
the Area Code and Phone Number, then Click Next.
|
STEP 6.) Click
Finish.
|
STEP 7.) At
the Dial-Up Networking window, Right-Click on the Value Connect Icon and Choose
Properties from the sub-menu that appears.

STEP 8.) Click
on the Networking Tab at the top of the Properties Screen. Make sure that only
"TCP/IP" and "Enable Software Compression" have Check Marks in their respective
boxes. If any other items are checked, click on the check mark to remove it.
Click Ok to return to the Dial-Up Networking.

STEP 9.) Right-Click
on Value Connect and choose “Create Shortcut”. A dialog box will appear that
says,

STEP 10.) “Windows
can not create a shortcut here. Do you want Windows to place the shortcut on
the desktop instead?” Click Yes. Close Dial-Up Networking.
